The side panel opens beside whatever you are looking at, with your own agents in it: the same ones from the web workspace, same instructions, same tools, same permissions. An answer in the panel is the same answer as in a tab, down to which documents the agent may reach.

Select text and hand it to an agent to tighten, summarise or transform. The result lands in the panel beside the original, so you compare rather than lose the source.
Dictate instead of typing
Speak in any of the 120+ languages the platform transcribes. The audio goes to your deployment, not to a third-party speech service.

Upload or capture a PDF and ask questions about what is inside it, without leaving the page it came from.

The extension has no identity of its own — it borrows the session you already have, which is what keeps its access identical to yours.
Click Connect Extension.
One click in the workspace links the browser to it. Nothing is copied, pasted or stored by hand.
Open the side panel.
Click the extension icon on any page. The panel docks beside the content instead of covering it.
Pick an agent and start.
Your agents are already there. So are their instructions, their tools and the documents they are permitted to read.
Rolling it out is IT's job once, not four thousand people's job each. Force-install the extension by ID through Chrome Enterprise policy in Google Admin, Intune or a group policy, and each person's next sign-in does the rest. Nobody visits the store and nobody pastes a key.
Your integration backlog stops deciding what the agent can help with.
A connector reaches the systems you own. A record of where you have been
The panel reads the tab you asked it about. It keeps no history of the ones you did not, and it collects nothing in the background.
A second copy of your documents
What you send is stored where the platform already stores everything else, under the same retention and the same access rules. The extension adds a surface, never a second place your data lives.
An identity of its own
It signs nothing in and holds no key. It inherits your group memberships and IAM policies exactly, so an agent you cannot reach in the workspace is an agent you cannot reach in the panel.
