How it works

Three steps, whichever tool you came for

The tools differ in what they hand back. Getting there is the same every time.

01 / 03

Upload the recording

Drop in a video or audio file, paste a link, or record straight in the browser. Every tool on this page starts from the same upload.

Work from the transcript

Exemplary transcribes it, then editing is text editing — cut a sentence and the video cuts with it. Silence and filler words come out in a click.

Questions

Before you start

Do I need a different tool for each job?
No. Every tool listed here runs on the same upload and the same transcript. The separate pages exist because people search for them by name — behind them it is one workspace, so a file you transcribed can be clipped, captioned and summarised without uploading it again.
What languages are supported?
Transcription and subtitle generation support 99 languages. The language pages explain the available options for each language.
What files can I upload?
Upload MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, WEBM, MOV or MKV files.
Can I edit the transcript before exporting?
Yes — the transcript is the editing surface. Corrections you make there carry through to captions, subtitle files and any generated content, so you fix a name once rather than in every export.
Can I translate subtitles into another language?
Yes. Generate subtitles in the spoken language first, then translate them; the timings are preserved, so the translated track stays in sync.

One upload. Every format you need.

Drop in a recording and work from the transcript — clips, captions, chapters, show notes and posts all come from the same file.
